Serum A-Glyca
To function properly and to produce energy, our body needs glucose, which is found in sugars. However, if there is too much sugar in our body, protein molecules can cross-link with sugar molecules. Once this phenomenon of Glycation has occurred, the new sugar proteins are called Advanced Glycation End products (AGEs). When formed, the AGEs affect the dermis' extracellular matrix proteins, particularly collagen and elastin, playing an important role in the process of aging.
